The Founder of Private Practice Center of NY Sharon DeJesus, NP, APRN-BC has over 25 years experience in the mental health field and psychiatric fields.  She is a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry, Board Certified by the ANCC.  She is focused on assisting her clients to feel empowered and to step onto a positive path to growth and overall well-being. She takes the time to listen and understand her clients' treatment concerns.

Sharon DeJesus has successfully treated children, adolescents and adults. Career started as the Head Nurse at an Inpatient Hospital caring for children and adolescents. She specializes in the treatment of ADHD, ADD, Disruptive Behaviors, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Insomnia, Weight Loss and Schizophrenia.

She takes the time to understand her clients using a Biopsychosocial Model. She understands the need to have a warm, empathetic, team approach when working with clients and their families. She also takes every opportunity to educate her clients about conditions, evidence-based treatment options, risks versus benefits, and the many natural over-the-counter treatments available.

Sharon DeJesus, NP-BC also enjoys working with single women struggling in their romantic relationships. Working Career Women and mother’s are a group close and dear to Sharon. Clients struggling with weight management and emotional overeating are also prime candidates for treatment with Sharon DeJesus.

With compassion and understanding, she works with individuals to build upon their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
